Exposed Hilltop Garden – Horsham, West Sussex

A wonderful former farmhouse perched high on an exposed hillside. The planting needed to withstand both the elements and cope with heavy clay soil.

The designer owner wanted both classic structure and a refined palette of plants in order to breathe life into the neglected garden. Plants included  Buxus sempervirens, Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’, Penstemon ‘Raven’ as well as Rosa rugosa ‘Rubra’  Yorkstone paving provides a timeless and seamless link to the rural expanse beyond.
