RHS Hampton Court 2018

Built as a community garden to celebrate the 150 year anniversary of the RNIB.

With plants selected for their contrast colours as well as their soft fragrant, aromatic and tactile qualities it became a haven for pollinators.

We could not believe how many found their way to our garden!

Multi stem Betula utilis var. jacquemontii and an avenue of standard Prunus serrula were chosen for their striking textured bark.

A walkway through the garden allowed visitors to smell and touch the plants and look through the windows in the Corten Steel screens – which simulated different eye conditions.

An intimate seating area in the centre of the garden provided an enclosed and safe place for relaxing. Gentle water features added to the sensory experience.

We were thrilled to win an RHS Silver medal, which was crowned by our garden being voted by the public as the 2018 Peoples Choice Award for World and Show Gardens.
