Contemporary Cottage Garden – Cranleigh, Surrey

The brief was to create a haven from daily life -a pollinator, wildlife friendly space, with a cottage garden feel, one which complemented our clients modern new build home.

What was once an uninspiring patch of grass is now transformed into an entertaining area with a patio and summer house bordered with lavender and thyme. There is a gravel garden with a soothing millstone water feature and Malus tree’s for year-round interest and screening.  Painted raised beds give height and perspective to the garden and are easier on the back!

An intimate seating area has been created under the shade of four Parasol pleached trees, perfect for morning coffee.

Small format sandstone pavers and setts add to the detail.
